A Day Of Rehearsals: A Diamond Day

Today was a good day. With Status‘ first show happening in a mere two weeks yesterday, we spent the day working our little socks off at Pete’s house.. with lots of laughs and seeing each other’s hard worked on scenes, it made for a creatively productive day.

It’s been three years since I was on a stage and five years since I was directed in a straight play… it makes me nervous and excited all at the same time.

I went to London to find a supportive group of people that I could write and perform and laugh with, without judgement or fear; everyday would be a fun-filled diamond day. Isn’t it funny that the group I went in search of happened to be here in Hull, the very place I vowed never to return to, the place that I realised was home. An accepting, unpretentious group that care only about integrity in theatre. No image, no divas, just theatre. Happiness.
